Celebrating the Unity-in-diversity through Indian Festivals
All the festivals got even more glorified and exciting when our little toddlers decided to smear in the fever of India; A-cultured-culture-of-diversified-cultures !!
It is right at this age they need to be injected with the dose of rich Indian culture that keeps the whole India united
and gives us a reason to celebrate the 'unity in diversity' factor through celebrating festivals. We made every attempt to teach- and -celebrate
our festivals to our kids who are going to take the legacy of the same even further that has bonded us so well despite belonging to diverse cultures
and different relogions and the same is being inculcated in our little NKGians and with dressing up for the occasion and relishing some delicacies
was an absolute bonus.
During Janmashtami, little Kanhas and Radhas stole everybody's hearts adorning their cute and traditional outfits, for the occasion. During Ganesh
chaturthi our kids moulded the clay into lovely Ganpati that stole everybody's hearts. And then came Diwali and they loved helping their mothers
with mithaai -making. They loved colouring the Diyas and helped their parents in cleaning the house that we all call Diwali- ki -Safai. Christmas
saw all the kids dressed up in red and white and they loved singing to the tunes of Jingle bells .They enjoyed Christmas cakes and loved making the
Santa caps.
All our National festivals were celebrated with even more "Josh" and gusto. Our teachers left no stone unturned in making them aware of our freedom
fighters, our National Kargil heroes.... Those sessions sure saw a lot of patriotic-fervour on this-and-the-other-side on the screen....!!
Jai Hind found a firm place in everyone's heart..
